The Briony capelet is a top-down shawl pattern that utilizes color blending or melting. This pattern can be easily customizable in terms of sizing and yarn usage. I encourage you to play around with colors and check out the schematics before diving in! The pattern offers customization instructions and is knit flat in garter stitch and has an (optional) i-cord belt component + fun fringe detailing. The yoke has an eyelet pattern and then after separating, the eyelets are connected to slipped stitch ridges with a garter stitch background. This pattern uses 17 colors/mini skeins, in roughly 80 yd/73 meter balls. I suggest utilizing a fade kit or your favorite scraps for this project and having a lot of fun with color changes! Yardage count includes the option belt and fringe components.

This capelet is written in one size with varying positive eases, all depending on your cross back measurement. The pattern offers instruction on how to lengthen and widen certain parts of your capelet to achieve whatever fit you prefer.
